AGM - 2022

2022 was the first time since 2019 that we were able to hold a live event. It has traditionally been the last Saturday in September as this is World Retina Day. And so it was, held at BLVNZ in Wellington.

The event was recorded live (thanks Pete & Monique) in Wellington.
The five videos below are in chronological order.

Official AGM business was concluded in 30 minutes, which was followed by:

- Wellington Ophthalmologist Keith Small. Keith was our first guest speaker and spoke above about the warning signs of vision loss; knowing what to be concerned about.

- Head of our SMAB, Auckland- based Ophthalmologist Andrea Vincent. Andrea spoke about the latest research updates as well as some of the gene-related or gene-based emerging treatments.

- Marina Sutter in Switzerland. She spoke of her experiences of living with low vision in Zurich.

The final session was a full group discussion about our experiences living with and using the white cane. This was a great discussion which ran longer than expected!
